There's a relatively new book out (2012) titled "Thin Slice of Life" written by a triumvirate of three (now) old guys that hung around Port Aransas and Rockport under the name Miles Arceneaux.

Those who recall the late 70's around Port Aransas and Seadrift or Club Robert behind Town & Country Restaurant on Roberts St., Guy Clark and the "South Texas Coast", might descend into a labyrinth of rabbit holes.
