Make it work. People get by on 8/hr working 20-30 hours a week.

^ Unfortunatly we wouldnt be able to 'make it work' with out compromising some of our personal beliefs. Like keeping the kids out of day care. With us not knowing anyone up there, and never having been to Corpus Christi in my adult life (I visited when i was very young) I feel like it is importaint to know if it is realistic to be a stay at home mom whose husband brings in the sole income of the family. But thank you for your opinion.

Not without public assistance, I'd imagine.

Aside from that, it would be all Corpus Christi costs. Utilities, rent, and the like. What do you think? We don't go out a lot. We are home people

EDIT TO ADD: Our child wouldn't be in day care or anything like that either.

I would think the most you could buy is 70k or less. Just rent.
