Would China weaken us when we owe them so much money?

Default Really annoyed by people taking the N.Korea threat seriously.

Why are you people taking this so called "threat" seriously? Only threat I fear is for our troops in South Korea,Japan and POSSIBLE Hawaii.. A rocket attack on the West Coast is unrealistic, most of you are forgetting all the Anti-Missile systems we have. North Korea vs. US is like 100,000 Men with Sticks & Stones vs. 400 with Machine Guns and Tanks, its all about who has the better equipment and North Korea is using fighter jets from 50's & 60's.

China isn't going to protect North Korea if they do something stupid. Anyone who thinks China is going to side with North Korea is an idiot. China isn't looking for war against the United States.

I agree, I don't think China wants a piece of that, they are too busy trying to grow their economy.... living large and in charge... the Chinese are Rollin big time... they're sort of like Cindy Lopper... they just want to have fun...

First thing I thought when I read that..Gee maybe he doesn't like live music since that is what Austin is known for.

South Korea's company, Samsung, is located in Austin, TX. So possibly NORTH Korea wants to "take it out" as a major hit to SOUTH Korea.

From Wikipedia...Samsung - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

...and another facility in Austin in 1996. As of 2012, Samsung has invested more than US$13 billion in the Austin facility, which operates under the name Samsung Austin Semiconductor LLC. This makes the Austin location the largest foreign investment in Texas and one of the largest single foreign investments in the United States.

Default N Korea in a State of War?

So N. Korea ups the ante:
North Korea said Saturday that the peninsula it shares with South Korea is entering a 'state of war'.

North Korea said in a statement Saturday that it would deal with South Korea according to "wartime regulations" and would retaliate against any provocations by the United States and South Korea without notice.

So the question begs to be asked, at what point to we take a man at his word? Before or after he lights the candles?

He might launch an attack on soft targets in South Korea to score a propaganda victory, This would be significant but not enough for a US Military response. This is a statement from an analyst in the military.
