Soooo... I'm pretty excited (and don't laugh or make comments please) we went to Sports Authority and they had their Diamondback Topanga mountain bikes on sale - we feel we got a pretty good price considering the source and the bikes are SO fun to ride.
We paid $349 each - they were marked down $300 a piece. I read a lot of reviews about them and found that as recently as July, people paid a lot more for these bikes.
Even though they have the "bike tech" check things over when you buy them, my fiance (who used to be an avid biker) checked them over again and readjusted brakes, tires, handlebars, etc..
We've been having a blast on them ever since we got them.

Mind you too, these are the good ones with front disc shimano (sp?) brakes, some kind of good tires on them - so we are pretty happy.

Just wanted to share my good news!

That's so awesome! We ride ours constantly....disc breaks are awesome, we have matching ironhorses hahaha, it's cute....We are looking into upgrading our front forks, we take them up north and ride it's awesome. I dirt bike too and I have to admit I never thought I'd ride another two wheeler that was as much fun as my dirtbike but they are definitly equal in the fun department.

Have fun girl!

Congrats on the new bikes! The one I bought last year also had disc brakes, and it stops on a dime. Don't worry about the price you paid...it sounds like a good deal. Just get out and ride 'em!
