Definitely in a position where to live in Dayton makes sense to get to where I work. Ideally, I want to make this move in less than a month, maybe even two weeks. 300, 400, maybe 500 a month and I am interested.

Craigslist has some kind of sudden resurgence of 80% of the ads being fake. Most of them have some kind of convincing story that makes them seem legit, then the e-mail comes back with a scripted scam site reply.

I'm middle-age, (hurts to say that out loud) male and doesn't smoke. As far as I know, identifying as black does not work in finding a room. I'm white lol. (On the outside.)

Any places I can look for a cheap room to move into like right away, even if it is a rooming house? One with a parking spot would be ideal.

That’s a tough price point, even in this area. It doesn’t seem like most available rentals are advertised online in the Dayton area, so your best best might to be driving through the neighborhoods you want to live and calling the numbers on the For Rent signs listed. Facebook’s Marketplace seems to be more popular than Craigslist these days, FWIW.
