I don’t live in Beavercreek but the correct answer is mulch.

My 30+ year old mower bit the dust 7 years ago and I bought a mulching mower and it so much easier, the trick is to do it when they leaves are dry and crumble up easily, and it’s better for your lawn, much easier than raking them up, bagging them to haul away or raking them to the curb for the city crews to pick up, they could blow back into your yard before they come around.

Unfortunately, they don't pick them up here.
Thanks

We live right on the edge of Washington township and are building in Beavercreek. On both properties it makes sense to use a lawnmower and mulch, it’s great for the garden and less labor intensive by far than raking.

Our main home has city leaf pickup and the property does not, but the leaf pickup is honestly kind of a pain. Mulching mower is where it is at. I think our mulching push mower was… $250? Maybe? Works great.

Mulched them today, looks good. Well, except for the leaves that were falling behind me as I was mowing.

Come spring, dethatch and aerate and call it good.

Thanks

That’s the thing about clearing out the leaves, you can get rid of them one night and the next morning it doesn’t look like you did anything. I have maple trees that lose their leaves around Halloween but the church near my house has oak trees that lose their leaves around thanksgiving and they just let their leaves blow into everyone else’s lawn.
