I bought an entertainment center, a secretary, and a computer desk with highback leather chair at a yard sale for $160.

I always shop the deals...
@ JC Penney, I got like, 6 shirts, a pair of crop pants, shorts and something else I believe, for $80.

Then I got 2 pairs of pants for $20. I guess that's not a HUGE deal but pretty good!

I had a tivo given to me and it broke one day and I freaked, I ran right out to Circuit City to buy a new one, I really wanted to one that burned CD and luckily they had them on sale (that is never the case when you really need something) I told the guy I wanted that one and then came back a few minutes later and said they were out of them. I must have looked desperate and I mentioned if I could purchase the one that they had on display and he checked with his manager and they sold it to me for $83.00 (the unit was over $200.00) then after using it for a week it was making a funny noise so the manufacturer sent me a brand new one.

Default my all time favorite....

aprox. 10 years ago we purchased just over $2100 worth of furniture in NC, put it on our charge card...had it delivered in 2 days from them....well, after a month our credit card was still not charged. We phoned the store several times explaining we were not charged etc. They had no record of our purchase at all, kept saying wait see if it goes thru. blah, blah, blah. And the sales person who sold us the furniture had been fired 4 days after our purchase, so she could not verify it to help us.

I had that happen to me too, except we only put the dresser on the credit card and it was never charged. Too bad we didn't put the whole set on it
