Are you working or retired? Looking to buy or to rent? Must you be "on" the beach or within 15 minutes drive to the beach? House or would a condo be acceptable? Just you or enough space for a family? You really need to provide a little more information about what you are looking for before anyone can answer your question.

i am working for the starting i will be glad to rent house as for now until later to buy house i prefer live by bay but it not have to be on bay i have several skills jobs but as for now i am doing hvac jobs i look up for hvac job position available, my concerned is depends how company rate pays also my budget too she willing to come along with me but worried about it but i would go alone for a while as long if i success and able to be affordable then she would come, i know it s my big challenage and few of them keep saying go for it i do agreed with them but they dont understand with my worried or fear, just bec they have no idea about beach costly living and everything which is easy for them to said since they stay in midwest
sometime i feel like it s simple but i know it s not that simple or myself thinking i know what to do, it not helping me i need someone who can give me strong advices or encourage me or power strength or something in anyhow-- i cant find a word for better words again like i say before i know it s not easy thanks again

Living here is very expensive. Most especially since after Covid as many relocated here and the prices went through the roof. I am not sure if you are responsible for supporting others that it is at all realistic. I could be wrong but maybe if you give us an idea of your maximum budget we could give you more constructive ideas.

I'm a big fan of more rural areas and you can find some of them inland a few miles from the beach. Few miles away but much more quiet and probably more inexpensive as well. Look due west of Bethany for an example and some of the small town areas.

I don't live in Rehoboth Beach, but Saturday evening it took me only 40 minutes to get down to Rehoboth Beach (from the Dover area) to see/hear the Neil Young tribute at the Rehoboth Beach's Bandstand. Nevermind, it took me 6 trips around a 6 block area to find a parking space, somewhat, close to the bandstand. I was determined!

What I'm getting at, is....You can live in an outlying area, away from Rehoboth Beach, and still visit that area. It's just a matter of timing.

You are looking to hear what the experience of others is and if they were successful what they did to make it. I live in Rehoboth. I will tell you that this is not a place you want to try to struggle to live. The cost of housing alone now is staggering even for teachers and hospital workers. There is little to no affordable housing near here and they have been begging for it for quite a while. I am fearful for you that you will find yourself not only homeless but penniless if you come here.
