2 spots where gums sometimes bleed (teeth, dentist, side, problems)

The dentist noticed it also and did xrays but didn’t find a problem. It’s one spot in the front sometimes when I floss. And one in the back. Is it a sign of gum problems when it’s just a few spots? Maybe not flossing that area as good?

It can be. The gums shouldn't bleed when you floss. Keep flossing. But maybe you're flossing too hard. Also, consider using a metal dental pic like the hygienist uses when she cleans your teeth. Using a good mouth wash that kills germs and bacteria is a good idea also.

Did the dentist clean under your gums? There might be some hardened plaque (called calculus) underneath the gums which is irritating them and causing them to bleed when you floss. It needs to be removed at the dentist office, can't be removed at home.



Otherwise, it's likely early gingivitis from not flossing regularly...plaque irritates the gums and makes them bleed easily...floss removes plaque.

Not sure if you are male or female, but a day or two before my period my gums would bleed just a tiny bit, and always from the same one or two spots.

I would see a periodontist. They specialize in gums and gum diseases.
