To Pull or not to pull that is my question (teeth, hurt)

I had a crown a few years ago put on the second back molar
It didn’t last long because of brutism. My tooth didn’t hurt so I
Didn’t put another crown on. Now I’m starting to feel some pain
but it’s tolerable for now. We have dental insurance but 500++
it’s in our budget. It would be cheaper to pull it. With brutism
I know it’s just a matter of time before I would have to get another
crown. I really need to know what would happen to my teeth. Any advice?

First, the term is bruxism.

Don't you have or wear a nightguard? The guard will protect your teeth (and crowns) from the effects of grinding and clenching. FWIW, I am a life long grinder and have ended up with three crowns because of it. A couple of them are 20+ years old. None of them hurt. I've never needed any of them replaced or repaired...probably partly because I wear my nightguard without fail. Talk to your dentist about getting fitted for one. They are a lot less expensive now than they used to be; a lot less expensive than replacing crowns!
