First, the term is
bruxism.
Don't you have or wear a nightguard? The guard will protect your teeth (and crowns) from the effects of grinding and clenching. FWIW, I am a life long grinder and have ended up with three crowns because of it. A couple of them are 20+ years old. None of them hurt. I've never needed any of them replaced or repaired...probably partly because I wear my nightguard without fail. Talk to your dentist about getting fitted for one. They are a lot less expensive now than they used to be; a lot less expensive than replacing crowns!
