First off, happy labor day. Since less people are going to the dentist these days because of Covid-19, I thought I could help out somewhat. If you guys have any questions regarding your dental health please ask away, and I'll try to do my best to answer them for the next few days. It may be towards the evenings that I respond since I will be at work during the day.

What should a 3 crown permanent bridge on #2 #3 #4 cost? 2 and 4 were already crowned so needed new ones there (was called an abutment) and 3 needed a pontic.
What should it cost to extract #3 because the crown on it broke off. It was called "Surgical removal / erupted tooth".
Nothing to ask but be glad when all my teeth are gone. I guess all the bones are gone that hold them in and just ready for them to all go. Just pain with cold and eating.

That's right. It is HIPAA. I never claimed I'm perfect. That definitely took away some of my credibility though. Goes back to what I said about consulting with your own dentist also.
Anyways, cost is certainly very variable and is very region specific. There are a few levels of extractions ranging from simple, root tip extractions, surgical extractions, soft tissue, partial bony, and full bony impacted extractions (STIs, PBIs, and FBIs).
If yours is a surgical extraction, then it is dental code D7210. Lucky for you, I have a book called "The National Dental Advisory Service" that has national prices. If you give me your zip code I can give the cost multiplier to make it more specific for you.

D7210 extraction, erupted tooth requiring removal of bone and/or sectioning of tooth, and including elevation of mucoperiosteal flap if indicated. Includes related cutting of gingiva and bone, removal of tooth structure, minor smoothing of socket bone and closure.
I can't give you a quote on the bridge because I don't know if your 3 unit bridge is a PFM (Porcelain Fused to Metal) or if it's a full porcelain. Also for PFMs, I need to know if it's using non-precious metal (cheaper) or if it's a noble metal (more expensive).

I have many patient's that want their teeth gone. Just remember that nothing can replace your own teeth. Dentures and implants are wonderful for what they are but they are nothing like real teeth. With that said, I tell my patients that your bone is more important than your teeth since you can have perfect teeth but if you have no good bone to support the tooth, the tooth is useless. You also need good bone health for implants and you also need the bone to support dentures as well. Hopefully, your dentist can help you figure it all out! Good luck.
Can anything be done for a jaw joint? My left one has begun to 'lock up' upon chewing like it's out of joint or something. Is this the joint called TMJ? Anyway, once I get the chewing motion going, it seems to be better or somehow corrects itself. It's worse when I get up in the morning. When I open my mouth I hear it 'crackle' in my ear. Thankfully it doesn't hurt. For the past couple days it's been better, all by itself. Haven't been going to dentist because of the Covid...scared.... and need to because I get cleaning 3 times a year for my gums.
The joint is called the TMJ aka the Tempromandibular Joint. Everyone has one. The disorder of it is called TMJ Disorder or TMD for short. Clicking and popping of the TMJ is very common particularly for women over 35. It really becomes a problem once it hurts. I have patients in their 70s or 80s that have had popping and clicking forever but no pain and it doesn't affect their lives in any way. If it is affecting your life then there are a few options.
I tell my TMD patients that treating TMD is like treating someone who has migraines in that it is tough to treat as everyone responds differently to treatment. If your left one begins to hurt or lock up consistently, here are some of the things I recommend. Hot and cold therapy is number one since it's the least invasive. It works by placing a hot pad on the joint for 15 minutes, followed by cold pad for 15 minutes, then hot for another 15 minutes, then cold again for 15 minutes. Another option is doing jaw exercises which I will let you look up online yourself. Other options are trigger shot injections which is basically placing a lidocaine or botox shot in the TMJ itself. With lidocaine it can help out for a short period of time, while botox injections can help for a few months. Wisdom teeth extractions can also sometimes help with TMD. TENS therapy is another treatment you can look up online but TMJ specialists are the ones that often do this as it's very niche. Finally, the last option is surgery which I do not recommend. It is the absolute last resort.
Hopefully, you don't have to deal with any of the above. Sometimes jaw pain can come and go and this is not something to be alarmed about. As far as going to the dentist during Covid, I will keep that to myself as it's a polarizing subject to discuss. If you do want my opinion on it though, I will definitely provide it.
