If I were you, I’d go ahead and start saving for dentures.

So here's a thing for ya. Lack of oral hygiene can cause diabetes. In other words - you probably have only yourself to blame for your diabetes, because you choose to have bad dental habits, and excuse it with something so profoundly absurd as you don't brush your esophagus, therefore you shouldn't brush your teeth.

You don't soap up your stomach - so you should stop washing your hair and body.

You don't feed your computer chair, so you should just stop feeding yourself.
AFAIK, periodontal disease can contribute to problems controlling blood sugar. Even historical cultures who didn’t typically brush their teeth like we do still used other contraptions or methods of cleaning out their teeth. There’s no requirement to use toothpaste. You can just use a brush and floss or a waterpik.

FWIW, I had a friend who thought she had sarcoidosis. I think she went through some pretty intense procedures to help her issues like getting her tonsils removed as an adult. Ultimately it seems like it was related to periodontal disease/oral hygiene due to some bacteria that was in her gums.

I had an employee that hadn't been to the dentist in 20+ years. He claimed he brushed his teeth/flossed 2X a day. His teeth were jacked up but he was meticulous about his appearance in general.

What kind of a post is this? Are we supposed to take you seriously?

Well, not wanting to ingest those chemicals surely was your MAIN point in your OP (opening post). Now you say that wasn't really the reason.

& your 2nd paragraph is totally different & has nothing to do w/ this issue. That's why it's almost important to eat fiber because the body needs roughage.

If humans didn't need to brush teeth, floss, & do other dental care, they wouldn't manufacture toothbrushes, dental floss, floss picks, etc. In fact, let's just NOT even have dentists AT ALL!

Suggest the OP needs to ask a friend who will always be honest with her.

Any chance that not having brushed your teeth in years might have anything to do with the problems you talked about in your earlier thread about how you need to have a tooth pulled and are scared to go to a dentist?

I should buy a toothbrush. I just never remember. The best place for teeth brushing is in the shower, that whole business of spitting in and messing up the sink is ridiculous. I shave my face in the shower, that too is ridiculous messing up the sink and both shower and shave rinsing is easier in shower.

I do use the shower nozzle as a mouth rinse every time. Forgot to mention that.

" Brushing too hard can wear away protective enamel and leave teeth more prone to developing cavities. Moon-shaped cavities are often seen at the gum line or on the root surface of people who brush too hard. https://arboretumdentist.com/signs-of-brushing-too-hard-what-to-look-for/"

I think alot of people over do it and wreck their teeth and better to not brush at all then all that whiter is better nonsense.
