only 1? You'll be fine! If you smoke, cover that hole up or you will suffer; no straws, no whistling, the sucking force will give you a dry socket so avoid these actions.

All I remember from getting my wisdom teeth out is being knocked out for nearly 2 days while the drugs wore off.

You will be fine. It's NOT as bad as you think! People make it sound a lot worse than it really is.

Don't worry too much. I had two pulled and went to work two hours later, or after the numbness completely wore off. Just remember not to use a straw or drink soda and be careful you don't remove the gauze too soon. Dry socket can be excruciating. You'll be ok.

Hopefully it went WELL! DH had one pulled two years ago. He literally walked into the office. They numbed his gum with gel. Five minutes later they gave him the novacaine and five mintues later he was done and checking out! He never needed anything stronger than Tylenol for that first day, then nothing after that. Hope yours went just as well!

Nancy

Having my last two out on 6/21 and not looking forward to it. Rationally, I know it is no big deal but the apprehension is still there.

There is nothing good about dental treatment. It is just less bad than the alternative.

Mine was easy money. The worst part about it was having to pay for it up front. Other than that I didn't have any pain after the surgery and was completely out during the surgery.

My dentist has been eyeballing my wisdom teeth for ages....I feel for you. Keep telling that dentist that if it doesnt hurt, he's not getting in there and yanking them out!
