Have seen many newer but prebuilt-looking homes on realtor dott komm, is it a newer area? Searched this forum, nobody has said a word about that area, wondering if it's worth looking at.

Well, I did some research and it looks like the last census was 2000 there was 2049 people, and then in 2005 the census was approaching 4000 people. So, it was a small town and now growing. It is considered 1 of the 10 most fastest growing cities in the state. I think it looks like a great town w/ a great community! To be honest, I have lived in Colorado for 34 years and I had never heard of it before. SHEP

my guess is that it is cheaper to build than Brighton (and right next door) and still "out there" on the plains. Close to a highway that brings you to Denver, and close to DIA.

Lochbuie was long a farm community out I-76, and over the last 5 years there has a lot of growth in homes. Great bang for your buck in a home. I sold a new KB home for 190K in 12/04 and it was a lot of house for the money. Too far out for my taste, but it was great for them.
