Old School Parks with Old School metal Playgrounds in Denver-Metro area (Aurora: schools, bars)

I'm wondering if there are any old school parks with the old metal playgrounds in the Denver metro area? Specifically, anything in downtown Denver, in Aurora, Centennial or Greenwood Village.

Me and a friend of mine want to go to these parks because it's much easier to use those playgrounds there for working out (Pull up and Push up variations). I remember as a kid going into these parks and they had bars at various heights and the monkey bars were straight (As opposed to the new squiggly ones).

Would prefer somewhere safe.

When I was a kid, all of the DPS schools had metal slides, metal rings and metal monkey bars. The play area was hard packed dirt (think: parking lot) covered with pea gravel. Playing baseball was an adventure with the bad hops and the fact that no one wanted to slide into the bases. Good times.

Unfortunately for you, I think all of the death trap playgrounds have been replaced with the newer versions.

There is an old school workout circuit at Harvard Gulch Park. Pull up bars, sit ups, etc. There are also some pull-up bars at Wash Park. I use those quite a bit.
