We are looking to relocate to either the Denver area or nearby Colorado Springs and looking at real estate it seems that almost no properties in the metro areas have room to park a Trailer.

Having lived in 3 SW states for the past 20 years we have always been able to park a Trailer next to our house l, weather it be camping trailer, utility trailer, or an enclosed cargo/car trailer.

I do not trust storage lots, especially since from time to time my off road toys are stored in an enclosed car trailer, I would rather have the trailernin my own back yard.

Are there any areas that RV Parking is a more common feature?

This is highly variable throughout the metro areas of Denver and Colo Spgs. However, it will be rare that this is listed on a real estate ad as a selling point. Some places outright forbid it, others aren't concerned with it, some might include it.

Typically you are going to have to look for areas that do not have active HOAs or community by-laws restricting it which means you will be looking at neighborhoods built out prior to the 1990s. Then you will need to find a place with lots large enough for this storage and then find ones with adequate access to the lot to allow it. If you are leaning towards new construction for a home, then you will have to look outside the immediate city areas to larger lots on newer developments that allow these.

Obviously parking a small pop-up trailer is quite a bit different than a 35' diesel pusher class A and some of the mammoth 5th wheels I see around these days. Even an enclosed car trailer can require a fair amount of navigating room to get it into a spot. CO has long been about packing in more people in on the real estate, not necessarily about creating a lot of space for that real estate.

Checking Realtor.com, which has a filter for RV parking, I see 14 homes in my old area (Zip 80020) listed as such.

Here is one
https://www.realtor.com/realestatean...0_M21884-31976

where the listing says "with RV Parking (with added gate security)"

with photo of layout. https://ap.rdcpix.com/b78d6bbb74be0a...4_h768_x2.webp

Happy Hunting........

In REColorado, there are 147 houses for sale that say they have an RV pad. REColorado does not data share with PPAR(Colorado Springs.)

I can park my 32’ TT at my home near 6th and Wads. A lot of my neighbors have RVs as well.
Some of my neighbors don’t have room. Luckily I can pull it beside the house so it’s not an eyesore for the neighbors.

Just avoid the HOA homes in cookie-cutters neighborhoods (Stapleton, Jewel/Wads, etc)

There are multiple sites in Denver that offer free parking for campers. You can park at the public lands of (BLM) Bureau of Land Management or you can use free parking at State parks, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Forest Service. Fish and Wildlife Service also offers free RV parking most of the times. So, you can check them out what suits you the best.
