should we abandon the Unofficial Corktown Neighborhood thread for this one?
I don't want my Hastings Street idea to die. Any multi-millionaires on this thread interested in the idea?

No, I don't want to abandon the Corktown thread. If some stuff gets overlapped, oh well.

Default Crain's 10 Things to Watch in 2011

10 THINGS TO WATCH - Crain's Detroit Business - Detroit News and Information

If I made a wish-list of projects to see in 2011, these would be near the top:
  • Light rail
  • New Wings/Pistons stadium downtown
  • Second Detroit-Windsor bridge
Crain's covered most of the mega projects, but sometimes I feel like 25 small projects can have just as big an impact. Renovate a few buildings, bring in a few small businesses, attract some new residents to a neighborhood, add in a bar, restaurant, and a few storefronts and things brighten up real quick.
