Has anyone been following the saga of Alphonso the Ice Dog? A small dog was trapped on an ice flow in the Detroit River for four days, escaped a coyote, and finally rescued by a Canadian marine company using an air boat. It was quite the Facebook sensation and left people in tears of joy. I think we needed something like this right now. https://www.facebook.com/search/phot...4RO0Zfw8aMKlIg.

Yes, read about him, the poor poochie. Hoping he will recover fully and find a loving home.

Have they found Alphonso's owner? I heard that too many are claiming to be the owner.

Apparently not found they owner. The shelter had to shut their phones off because of non-stop calls inquiring about Alphonso or offering to adopt him. The story was in people magazine I was told. He is a cute dog. I do not like small dogs but I would take him if he needed a home and did not have two million offers for adoption.

Just a follow up. The little dog recovered from frostbite and some sort of partial organ failure. He was renamed "Miracle" and was adopted by the guy who saved him. He is now in Canada living happily ever after.
