Hey all I'm hoping you can help me. I'm working in Detroit this week and enjoying seeing all the changes happening. I've been coming to Detroit for about 15 years so I've been watching the changes. I'm trying to create a post using google streetview showing the transformation of Downtown/Midtown/Corktown, but I just don't know the city well enough. Also Streetview is not cooperating lol. Some of my favorite transformations are the Woodward corridor, and Capital Park. The problem I'm running into is either big trees blocking views, or when say I look at photos from 2009, somehow city buses are in EVERY frame no matter where I look LOL. Can anyone give some suggestions of areas around the city that have changed dramatically, that might show up well on streetview?

The only example I can really seem to find (which still doesn't do it justice) is here in Corktown:

2009:

2021:

If there's anything dramatic like this you can think of, that also comes through in the street view photos please let me know!

Thank you

I pointed this out on a Detroit Reddit forum a few year ago

This is in Corktown, near Michigan and Trumbull

The 2009 is actually showing Old Tiger Stadium being demolished in the background

2022 photo - alot of development

campus martius. The old wayne county building. Joe Lous Arena. Wayne County Community college campus. Del Rey. Eastern market. WSU campus and surrounding area. Greektown. MGM casino. Riverwalk - riverwalk is dramatic. Not sure if it is on google earth.
