One thing I have noticed since the pandemic is since the border reopened, I have seen very few Ontario plates around since before the pandemic. Have Canadians largely stopped coming to Michigan since the borders have reopened? Also pre 2020, I used to see lots of plates from Ohio, Indiana, New York, Florida, Texas, Virginia, and Kentucky. Now? Not so much.

Go to the western side of the side or up north in the summer, anywhere along Lake Michigan beach / resort towns and there are plenty.

Well my out of state tags were present in Michigan a few weeks ago. I try to focus my visits on June July and August when the weather is literally the best in America. The rest of the year not so much.

One thing that could keep tourists away….the roads are shockingly bad. I grew up in Michigan so I was prepared. Still I was shocked by how bad they have gotten. Still it was 97 and you could see the air here last week. Michigan should advertise its 75 degree summer weather, if people only realized how pleasant the far north is during summer you would be inundated with tourism.

Shh.... don't tell anyone that. Honestly we don't need any more tourists in the summer months.
