He isn't looking for life experiences at this point, he is looking at life expectancy and I suspect with Charlie Munger's recent death (his best friend/partner) he is probably hyper focused on his own demise.
I wonder why he kept on "working" long after he'd accumulated enough
to cover his relatively-simple living expenses 1000 times over.
Not knowing much else about him, I suppose he just enjoyed the activity
of seeking out undervalued stocks.

It'll be interesting to see where the $$$ go after he's gone.

He’s has pledge and has already begun to give almost all of it away to charities.

Right. But WB, his family, top associates and some secondary associates are very, very rich even after he gives away his 99%.

Let's not pretend this a vow of poverty for WB's crew.

Now that is what you call class.

I wish all wealthy people would learn from him what it means to have a conscience and character.

Funny, I just gave him some of my money yesterday.

It was a beautiful day out, so me the wife and the kids ride our bikes to our local Dairy Queen, which is about 3 miles away.

I got a bacon cheeseburger, and the bacon was undercooked and rubbery, and not very good.

I wonder what Warren eats for dinner in his little 5 bedroom house. I wonder if he has an ice cream machine and a "Blizzard blender" in his kitchen. Hopefully he gets to eat better bacon cheeseburgers than the piece of garbage I was served.

I think at least some recognition is in order considering he's doing that and not buying another mega-yacht, sports team etc.

He gets tons of recognition for his pledge and has for years.

I would argue buying mega yachts and sports teams employs more people and boosts the economy more than many charities.

Buffett isn't just sleeping on his pile of money, he employs over 300,000 people.

I don't think that's less noble than "giving it all away".
