Set up the account and did the financial stuff. Just our luck. Income was down 8K in 2023 but I had to use 2022 which is the most I ever made. Still, I did it.

Finished the form and submitted.
I have the email that says the parent portion is complete. I even have the email that notifies me they asked the IRS for verification.

2 nights ago I get an email saying I have not completed it.

HUH?

My daughter has not done her part but now am lost.

Sorry, I can't be of any help. I do know there have been a lot of problems with the new system this year, but the only advice I can give is to double check everything and also ensure your daughter's inputs get made. You might also check with the college financial aid office to see if they can see any issues.

I agree with all of this.

FAFSA has been significantly delayed this year due to changes in their system. Future years are expected to be more efficient.

I do my kids’ portion as well as the parent portion.

And, most people don’t get $$$ from doing FAFSA, but it can help make your kid eligible for work-study or subsidized student loans.

College Confidential is about 100-times better on this topic. That is your go-to forum for all things college and FAFSA

They have a forum specifically on FAFSA where there are lots of people who can help. If this link doesn't work, google "College Confidential" FAFSA forum

...
In my experience, FAFSA gets you a Stafford Loan for $5.5k freshman year (unless that's changed) and then incremental increases after that. $8k in income one way or the other shouldn't affect it.
