- Promoting drilling immediately while working on new forms of energy, which will take years to come and years to implement in large scale.
-Improve refining capacity. Stop bureaucracy to get a permit to repair a refining plant.

-Support "Cap-And-Trade" laws (basically a tax on anything that "pollutes", to include factories where people work, gasoline, diesel, truckers, cab drivers, natural gas, coal, etc, which in turn would raise prices of food, clothes, books, etc... anything that would be transported using a fuel.

-Hope that someday someone will invent a car that can run with a wind turbine on the roof and a solar panel on the hood. Or something like that.
-Send Americans some kind of an Economic Stimulus check to help pay for high gas bills and do nothing now to lower prices.
-Insist "bitter Americans who cling to guns and religion" live in city ghettos, since these Americans cannot afford homes close to their jobs, so they can walk to work or ride a subway or bus. That would eliminate gas use.
Even the CANADIANS are making fun of Americans for their stupidity for not drilling and not refining!!! They must think that if Obama is elected, that would be proof of America to American stupidity!!!
I supported Hillary only because I felt in long run she would take us to where we needed to go she lived in the real world . Not the Al Gore lala land.
I than went with Obama but the not digging for more oil the saying NO to every real idea like Nuclear power plants etc made me go Independent.
The "Christian" conservative Neocon GOP is out of the question as disagree on to many things other than this topic.
However Obama will invest in -

Oh sure, the republicans are great at energy policy. You must remember that the republicans controlled the senate and the presidency for years, WHILE McCAIN WAS IN OFFICE. So why did he not propose any decent energy measures years ago when he and his cronies had the chance? Nope, they're just hopping on the democrat's bandwagon AFTER their oil buddies screwed them over. Give me a break. You had your chance and our country has gone to hell in a handbasket. The ball is now in OUR court to fix the mess the republicans have created. Including a RECORD DEFICIT THIS YEAR. Get real people! This country is going down the tubes if we keep up the CURRENT leadership under McBush.
