Tesla Cybertruck's frunk doesn't have anti-pinch sensors, it will eat your fingers, and maybe something else...
Anti-pinch systems work well enough for power windows to be trusted, but in other scenarios, they are not that good. Tests show that the force is so big that it can crush a wooden pencil, let alone human fingers.
More specifically, the Cybertruck's frunk has no problem closing when a human hand is still in the way. Kyle tested this with carrots, but the result would be just as nasty if the frank catches your fingers.
The Rivian R1T, on the other hand, correctly detects the foreign object and cancels the close command before it could hurt anyone.
Tesla is also aware of this, which is why it printed a stark warning in the Cybertruck owner's manual.
If people would feed their frunk the type of food that is called for in the owners manual, then this wouldn't happen. But just to be safe, have your neighbor feed your frunk from a long pole, because you just never know.
The frunk is so small I can't imagine people are going to bother opening it more than once anyway.
a. Are you trying to say, "that since the driver has 10 fingers, losing 1 or 2 out of 10 is not too bad?" b. Or maybe, "lose a finger once...lesson learned!"
~Just kidding with you!. I could not help myself
