It seems the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N was not the end of Hyundai's performance car visions. Meet the Ioniq 5 N eN1. It sounds like Hyundai is trying to shape a new series of EV racing that will be accessible to amateurs.
Hyundai is also bringing 4 Ioniq 5s to the Pike Peak Hillclimb this year on June 23rd. Apparently they've hired 4 well known drivers to compete in 2 "production" class Ioniq 5 Ns - which will have the stock powertrain and stock suspension, so they won't be Ioniq 5 N eN1 spec as shown above, it will be be enthusiast targeted Ioniq 5 N with just some interior mods, mainly for safety. I find that especially interesting, because for a performance competition, it's a moderately priced consumer vehicle ($66k), but they apparently still think it has a shot with pro drivers piloting it.
They will also race 2 "modified" cars in a more open class, although they haven't yet revealed just how modified those will be.
I don't think actually winning will be an easy task - there are always lots of impressive engineering efforts and elite drivers in the competition, and the course is described as challenging and hazardous. That said, Hyundai is making some noise about this effort so I am sure they intend to win.
