What realistic tv shw are you watching?
I love those shows that pair four women or a mix of women & men with nothing in common and make them all the bestest of friends.

Apparently interracial couples are perceived as normal now, then they should be portrayed even more so. And even in the 90's, there still was a lack of them in entertainment.
You are just as bad as extremist that stand against interracial couples.

Why do you feel the need to shove your lifestyle down others throats?

Is this what you are going for?

Hopefully that will change in the next few decades, since it's predicted that the minorites will become the majority.
Growing up in the 1990's

I've noticed in the past 5-8 years there being an explosion of black and 85% of it Black male characters/roles. Have you caught Television advertisement? How often do you see the Black male versus Black female OR the tiresome combination of white female/black male? I'm not sure if this is just because of Obama but I'd like to see a more realistic picture offered after Obama's Presidency ends. And before anyone jumps on me, I voted for him in 2008.

The truth is atleast 50% of the time a minority is shown, it's a Black male. IMO, it's because of Americans unhealthy infatuations with domestic sports like basketball & football and Rap music. Why is a small percentage of the population (15%) constantly showcased and specifically the male gender, confuses me.

In real life, hispanic female/black male is A-LOT more common than white female/black male and yet we are forced a completely unrealistic picture by the media. I don't understand it. Is it because of American pornography infatuation with color contrast of white female/black male?

These are observations I've made while traveling the World.

You also never see the old Army vet with an Asian wife coupling on TV. I see it all the time in my daily life.

TV is idealistic, however, it is not realistic.

If they have an IR couple, it will be really tame. They generally won't kiss or have sex or do anything the fun white couples do or else a huge deal will be made out of it. Always seems a bit awkward to me. I'd rather they just not be there at all unless its handled in a nonobtrusive way.

I watch a lot of Disney with my oldest daughte and on a couple of the shows they have had a few ir parings and crushes which is okay in my eyes.
