Until I can clear this up with Ticketmaster.......what do you think? I'm using general info instead of specific......
Purchased Tickets for Elton John on such and such a date 2020 on Ticketmaster.
Two Tickets for $300
Sold the two tickets through Ticketmaster for $400 prior to Covid. Receive the money from Ticketmaster (price of tickets plus profit). Tickets are given through Ticketmaster to new buyer.
Covid happens and event is temporarily cancelled
Event is rescheduled for May 2022 (note, about two years after original date)
I get an invoice FROM Ticketmaster through Paypal for the original $300.
I'm like "WHAT????"
Is this a scam? Why would I give Ticketmaster/Paypal $300. I don't have the tickets anymore
I looked in my Ticketmaster account and it still shows that I purchased two tickets to this artist, but it also indicates that I sold the tickets.
Yes, I have a Ticketmaster account and can't find anything that says I owe them money. I mean for Goodness sake....I purchased a ticket through them.....sold back the ticket to someone else through them....if I owed them money....wouldn't they owe ME A TICKET? Will try again to get through to customer service.
Ugh. OK was with their customer service "chat" yesterday. Yes, I have to pay back the $400 I got for the sale of the tickets. Ticketmaster said they would give me the tickets back. I'm going to try and email them so I get it in writing that I will be assigned the tickets again. Shoot, I don't want them, but whatever......
