It was a very nice service. His daughter, at the end of the service, had me in tears as well. RIP, MJ!!!

The service was well done and just a great tribute. He will be missed and he was the best entertainer and IMHO better than Elvis. RIP MJ.

MJ was not a better entertainer then elvis. Be realistic here. He hasnt had a hit in years & his new music (since mid 90,s) just wasnt selling. The LAPD went wayyy overboard with the security & blocking off the busiest freeway in the nation during rush hour so the jacksons can get to the staples center was over kill. Plus 2 ambulances were with them as well. This memorial service cost the tax payers of los angeles 4 millon dollars. Im just glad i dont live in that city.

I did not watch the memorial service. I was however unable to avoid seeing a clip of Mariah Carey performing "I'll Be There" and then apologizing for not doing a better job. This I find disturbing. While I understand her desire to always be the best singer she can be, I am at a loss to understand while she felt obligated to apologize for a perfectly natural human emotion. I would have been more impressed by the sincerity of her performance if she had let it stand as is.

What was Elvis' trademark move again?
He was most definetly a better entertainer that Elvis...that's why MJ was known globally...Michael Jackson sold more records than Elvis..had more number ones than Elvis.

eagle7, yes better entertainer than Elvis. Michael didn't copy anyone or use other people's music as his own. Dance moves Elvis stole too as well as songs. Michael has out sold Elvis and the Beattles. I was a fan of Elvis but Michael was the better entertainer.

Also, if the LAPD wasn't used it would have been crazy.

To who ever said Mariah was horrible you were right. What was up with her voice? The song was butchered.
