Is this the result of an unusual heat wave, or are the peak summer temps becoming the "new normal", gradually? (or perhaps not so gradually). Climatologists have predicted, that with climate change, the south of France and Spain will get drier, and agriculture in the area will eventually collapse, similar to what California faces with wildfires and water scarcity.
Has been several bad heatwaves this summer. The UK had a Cobra meeting about this they fear maybe thousands of deaths coming Monday in UK.
Many people disbelieve this because UK say also normal healthy people will die. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/pa...es-likely.html

Here in Chemnitz the heat wave has not arrived yet. This afternoon's high will be around 27C/80F and the following 2 days will be around 33C/92F. The overnight temps will cool off nicely. This afternoon's humidity is 30 percent, which is very comfortable, so even with temps above 30C in the upcoming days, it won't be too bad here.
