I am considering a move to Fargo, North Dakota too, from Indianapolis area, Indiana. Not sure if I should, don't know a thing about it, but my husband has a great work opportunity. Not sure if I could do the long distance relationship thing. . any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well depends on the new job...it is much more money or more security than now? Family....age of kids (if any) are important. Fargo itself is a fine city and the metro area is approaching 200,000 so you are not moving to the middle of nowhere. You wont have the Colts on TV, but the Vikings. But certainly Fargo is a fine place to live. Winters are colder than Indy and summers still warm and humid...just not quite as long. Winters though are different...much colder...so if you really dislike cold that may be a consideration.
What sort of things are you looking for? If you take climate out of it, Fargo has a lot going for it. As Dan mentioned, schools are great. Commute times are very easy. The central core of the city is great for walking. Fargo is a retail, medical, and legal service center so you can pretty much find anything you need in town.
There are repeated complaints on these boards about not enough activities for young adults to do, and depending on what you're into, that may be valid. With three universities/colleges in town, there are several performing arts series throughout the year, in addition to the symphony, opera, and live theater. Folks who are into outdoor activities (hunting, fishing, birding, snowmobiling, etc.) find it a great place to live.
