Can anyone give me any information on the Legacy Point neighborhood in Fayetteville? What kind of reputation does it have? I know they go to Farmington schools instead of Fayetteville - is that a good thing? Also, any information on neighborhoods in Fayetteville that would be nice for homes in the $225,000 - $275,000 range. Thanks!!

Legacy Pointe is a nice subdivision. You may already know some of this info but just in case. Some people would not want to live close to duplexes. Now these duplexes that are close in with houses in Legacy Pointe are VERY nice, but some people would not like this aspect. When the homes were first built there was an explosion of new homes in subdivisions in this west side area of town. This caused some difficulty in selling all the homes & a few of the homes were rented out. Not sure about what % of the homes are now rented out, but that might (or might not) be a concern for you. From what I have heard the homes are very nice and well built. The homes in Legacy Pointe will be a "little" less expensive because they are in the Farmington school system- but not that much difference anymore.

As far as the school Farmington vs. Fayetteville... Some people would not buy a home where there kids would go to Farmington & vice versa... It really depends on what you want. Both schools are very good schools. Farmington is really no longer a "small school" if your kids are younger. The high school grades are still fairly small, but with the recent increase in people moving into Farmington the elementary/middle school grades are increasing to a larger size.

Fayetteville will give your kids more opportunities as far as AP classes at the high school level. My friends that have kids in Farmington love the school system. However, I love the Fayetteville school system & would not want my kids to go anywhere else.

That was VERY helpful - thank you for the response. I don't really know anything about the area or the schools. We will be new to the area and are leaning toward Farmington, Fayetteville, Har-Ber, or Bentonville schools - this is just from what we have heard from other people or from what I have read here on this forum.
