After almost 4 days we just got our power back late yesterday. Hope everyone that was hit by the freak storm can now put it in the past. I have to admit, by yesterday I was losing it!!! And thanks for those of you who sent me messages and showed concerns. this is one of the wonderful things about living here: so many people are so kind and helpful. I can't believe how the community came together.

I didn't realize so many were without power. My son lives in Bentonville and told me how bad it had got there. Glad you got your power back on and have no damage.

As of last night there were still about 100 with no power. We have a good friend who I have called twice and emailed: haven't heard anything but I know they are still here cause we saw her car at Branchwood rec center today.

Thanks so much and I can't imagine 14 days with no power. We were lucky I guess. No, we had no damage but the street behind us, with only one house had 2 huge trees totally uprooted. One of them is still blocking the street and is almost directly behind our house. That house has a second way to get in thank God. The city is cleaning up all the streets that need to be unblocked. The rest will come later. I am praying for all those along the south Atlantic coast.

Duke, I am so glad you made out so well. We have lots of friends on your side of the city: they too only lost power for a few hours. The last ones to get their's back live not too far from Highland Gold course on or near the lake. They got theirs back sometime on Friday
