I'm having a very hard time finding a place to rent that will allow a 40 lb. border collie. Most of them have a 25 lb. weight limit. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for anyones help!

None of the larger apartment complexes are probably going to be willing to work with you on this. You'd be best off contacting some of the local realtors and getting with their property management departments. Also, if you could get your current landlord to write a letter recommending you and saying that the dog hasn't been a problem, no property damage, etc, that would probably help you out. Renting a house can be expensive, but there are lots of duplexes and even tri-plexes in the area, many with fenced-in yards. The size limit on dogs is often there because landlords are presuming the dog will be kept in all the time. If you rent a duplex with a fenced-in backyard, you remove that presumption.

well, I lived in a Lindsey property before I moved into a house....and they said 40 lbs was their limit on dogs....but I'm not sure if all of the Lindsey properties are like that....

I live in a Remax rent house now...and they have no problem with pets that size if they stay outside....
