You'll have a lot of privacy, peace, and quiet unless they are harvesting.

No traffic, or crowds...I like that.

I'd prefer Lake Placid, but to each, his own.
No pow wow where i am. Would cost over a mil to line in power. Already got the land years ago bro. Tired of this rat race on the gulf and never any rain or canes. WILL HAVE TO MAKE MY OWN POWER.

I guess stick a large propane tank in the ground, and get a generator then. Any other options?

I'm more curious about county ordinances and passing permitting Unless one just plops an RV or a mobile home there.

Rural counties are pretty relaxed on these kinds of things.

Yeah I'm aware. I have a plot of land tucked pretty much at the edge of the Seminole State Forest that I've yet to build on. They still have quite a few strict rules as to what can and can't be built there, and how many buildings, and types of buildings, etc. Mainly because of how close it is to protected land.
And the structure still needs a Code Inspection, which includes MEP. I guess if he has no electricity, that eliminates the E part.

I'm thinking he has a motor home, or travel trailer he can park on his land, and use propane. I can't imagine living there w/o a/c in the Summer.

I GUESS SOLAR. No tree's around. Solar would cost 90k vs 1.4 mil to have a line made.

Nothing is on the land. It was given to me years ago in a will phil. House would cost very little since it will only be around 900 sq ft pete and 90k for solar and i am good to go bro.

If we get a tropical storm, its too cloudy for days on end to produce power, & then the 80+ mph winds blow away your solar array Jay. You lose a lot of power storing it in batteries, then using it on demand.

Better have a plan "B" Lee. Underground propane tank w/ generator is the ticket.

I must admit that there are times that I'd like to live off the grid away from humans. I'm just too spoiled to rough it very much. "Glamping" would be okay for a while though.

I gots a plan B stan. A gen for around 40k will do what it is needed. This area will never be built up. I rent out the land to sugarcane farmers to pay the crazy prop tax.
