Must have been nice to have 7 houses in the past 20 years. Seems like a pipe dream for many of us that just have one. Your complaint about homeowners seems laughable because you had enough money to own 7 houses, surely u can afford more expensive insurance.

I'll give you demographics. All the people getting free roofs in my Tampa neighborhood have Desantis signs in their yards.

Which then causes the roofers (working on their homes) to knock on my door, trying to bully me into filing a (fraudulent) claim..........

How do you know this poster has not moved frequently and bought a house each time? How can you assume, knowing nothing about this poster, that she owned multiple houses at one time?

I don't think he was implying that only one side of the political isle was making fraudulent claims. His point was that the conservatives ones doing it were being hypocritical. It's a logical perspective IMO.

I think we can agree on this- wrong is wrong regardless of which side of the political aisle you're on.

I paid for a new roof last year and everyone said I was an idiot.

That is the prevailing mentality in the "Freedom State". Scam, scam, scam whatever you can.
Spot on!

Actually I believe that's exactly what that post suggested.

However on a broader note... yes I agree, fraud at any level, both economically and intellectually, is wrong.

Yeah, the drivers here are absolutely insane. All of the main roads have daily accidents. I feel like a professional stunt driver.

The homeowners insurance thing is out of control. Ours increased 154%, so I'm now shopping around. Most people I know had absurd increases, with the worst being 277%. My parents lucked out and theirs only went up $300 for the year.

My home value increased by 100% over the past 5 years, & my homeowners coverage increased 50%.

Does that mean I'm getting my homeowners at a 50% discount?
