Looking for recommendations for an insurance company. We just bought a home in Cape Coral and don't know who to call, or who to trust. Thanks for any reviews - both good and bad.

I've been using the insurance-center in Ft Myers for several years. A private company who seems to employ well informed, polite and responsive individuals. Very competitive and knowledgeable.

There are 2 companies in Florida that are writing non FEMA flood insurance now. One is with Loyds of London and the other is a Tampa company ( Homeowners choice ). I will be looking into them in January, as the current choice is in debt and out of control with increases.
