I need help please, I am looking at buying a Condo either in the Brookshire Village area or the Gardens at Beach walk Condo near Harlem Heights? If any one has info in these areas please help me as I am moving next month and not sure where to live at in Fort Myers. Thanks

not going to touch on any specific area or complex but I would rent first rather than purchasing if you are not familiar with the area. live there a year then decide what fits your needs best.

Stay away from Harlem Heights, Pine Manor, Dunbar, Tice...anything north of Colonial and of course, Lehigh.

Fort Myers has some really nice family areas, that are clean, safe and low in crime. Estero is also a nice community...check it out.

+1 to Estero. Very nice area and has something to offer for all age groups.. From young families to retirees (55+). The area is rapidly growing and is becoming a major "center" in the area with Coconut Point, Miromar, Gulf Coast Town Center (right on the border of Estero and Fort Myers.. If you want to call it a border), FGCU, etc.

Kim listed out the areas where if you drive through you shouldn't stop. SOME areas North of Colonial are great.. Just most are not. Colonial is a pretty central "road" so things vary quite a bit.

Feel free to shoot me a Private Message if you have any specific questions.

I love Estero! You can't beat the location in my opinion. There is alot of new construction here with residential and commercial showing up everywhere. Great parks, shopping, restaurants, beach and airport all nearby. Rented in Olde Naples for a couple of years before I bought here.Though I really love Naples, it was a much better fit in Estero. Even my parents who are in there early 60's and live in North Fort Myers, just love it here and are thinking of moving down to Estero. The future is bright in Estero.
