We found our dream home in Cape Coral and purchased it in mid-August. We were supposed to close in mid-September however we've been having issues closing on our home in Michigan. The buyer's lenders have been jerking us around and we're now 4 weeks past closing. We were able to get a 4 week extension on our home on Cape Coral but that extension is rapidly coming to an end. There's a very real possibility that this entire deal may fall through. If that happens, so be it. We'll be a bit poorer and more wiser. The problem is that all of our worldly possessions are in Florida already, furniture, clothes, dishes, everything. Our house is basically empty and we've been staying with friends. Shipping our stuff back up here is not an option so one way or another we'll be in Cape Coral in the next couple of weeks. Ideally, I'd like a short term rental of some sort while we look for another house. The issue is that we have a small dog and two cats. All of the vacation rentals that we've looked at do not want the cats and any "real" rental places require a lease that's longer than what we're willing to sign. I was hoping that someone may have another idea of what we can do for the kitties. A kennel may be an option and if that's the only one I'd like a recommendation and an idea on cost. Better yet, if someone knows of a place that we could rent that would also take the cats that would be even better. Thanks

I know mortgage brokers are swamped right now. I would be calling someone to explain the bind they have you in. You have a signed legal contract with a closing date that was extended once. Hire a lawyer to force the buyer to preform on the contract. Or you could try to kennel the animals, try an extended stay hotel and ride it out till you close.

We've definitely been pushing every button that we can. The lender asks the buyer for something small, the buyer provides it immediately, we wait 2-3 days, they ask for something else, wash, rinse, repeat ad nauseum. Any kennel recommendations?
