I'd agree Wright...I'd imagine a large following of car dealers in SW Fla are glad to see the sell-off.

The new commercials for Cape Coral Kia are absolutely awful! As much as I hated Billy's commercials, they were better than this cartoon woman. She sounds like the woman from My Cousin Vinny.

It's a HUUUGE loss for sure. Sure, it seemed like every other TV or radio commercial had Billy on it but as soon as he was gone from the airwaves it was noticeable. We were happy when Caroline came back after her absence and she did a good job solo towards the end and had some really funny ones we enjoyed. And then the radio spots she did with Billy Jr. were okay, too. The first time I heard the new Kia of Cape Coral ad I wanted them to go out of business so I would never have to hear that voice again so I know what you were talking about chiluvr. It reminded me of the pest control commercial where they were putting out hits on different bugs. It just sounds way too gimmicky like some of the other dealership ads we hear. Billy really made his dealerships great because he injected himself into it, was a larger than life presence, and was always handing out TVs, cruises, houses, paid-off cars, etc. I just don't see the new ownership being as successful.

Awww. I wish him well. Bought a Soul from him and quietly enjoyed his commercials with Caroline!

As much as I disliked most of his commercials; Billy's the person who helped me get back on the right track with my credit after I was widowed. I will be forever grateful to him for that. I hope he is at peace. Good-bye Billy, I hope Heaven is huuuuuuge.

The local news here announced his death this morning, and ran a short piece on his philanthropy, and how many people he helped.

I didn't care for his commercials either, but you have to admit the HUUUUGE part of them is memorable. I always got a chuckle out of other ads that made reference to the words. I recall I think it was another, much smaller family owned business in the area ( maybe close to Arcadia?) who said in their ads, "We're not HYOOOOGE, but we will give you a great deal and good service."

RIP, Mr. Fucillo.
