We drove into Cape Coral. Not impressed by the area. We will look elsewhere

Yeah it’s definitely not for everyone . Cape is great for boaters and snow birds, or those working 9-5 and don’t want/can’t afford Bonita or Estero prices.

The new sewer system impacts fees scare away buyers as well on the older resale homes.

Thanks, it did look a bit below our preference. Others speak highly of Sarasota so maybe worth a trip there.

Also check out Venice/Englewood, further West of 75 toward the gulf. Very up and coming, much more attractive than Cape Coral.

Estero is a great option if your budget allows - very desirable right now

Also went to Babcock Ranch. Not as in the boonies like Ava Maria. Nice development but ½ hour or so to RSW and more stores etc

Yes Babcock will get more growth around it than Ave..there not building anything near Ave yet but a new community or two is coming to oil well road..still, Babcock is already attracting tenants for retail..That 2 lane road will get old though.
