We haven't lived in Naples since summer of 2020. This time when we come back I think we're looking at a manufactured home. We owned condo in Bonita Springs but as if April asking was 65,500 above appraisal. The housing market is too nuts..too expensive for us. SOMEPLACE between Naples and CLearwater. Over 55. Accepting of our cat and holdendoodle.

Suggestions appreciated. We're in Indiana now. Also, places to avoid....

Thanks.

Well, north Lee County just went through some tough storms. You may be able to see the news story streamed online from WINK news. I believe the weather guy said the morality rate from homes being hit by tornadoes vs mobile homes the mobile home rate was many times higher. Looks great for snowbirds. Inexpensive but those developments don’t have a shelter to get to in time I think. Just have a weather alert radio on at all times. Good luck.

Most over 55’s that I’ve researched are pet friendly, although you might have a problem with your golden doodle. Many do have weight limits of 45 pounds.

I am not familiar with any specific parks in the part of Florida you’re looking in so I’m unable to help you there. I’ve been looking on the east coast between Jacksonville and Fort Pierce and have seen several that are appealing. I suggest going on a website like mhvillage which lists all the parks and homes available in the US. That’s where I started. Then fly down for a trip and narrow down your choices. Be sure to ask how much the lot rent increases each year. Because they all do.

Good luck!
