I had Verizon and left for Net10 under Verizon. Using the 4G network the coverage is very similar to post paid inside the US.
We pay $88/month total for two smart phones and 5gb of data each including unlimited talk/text. We used our current phones we had on Verizon, no need to purchase a crappy prepaid phone.
If you want even cheaper ATT has Cricket which has excellent coverage as well for $70/month including taxes but you only get 2.5gb of data each.
The only downside is the 4G speed is capped around 6mbps. Still very useable, unless you do a lot of movie streaming or downloading it's not a huge difference at the user level compared to uncapped speeds.
$88. Not bad. Verizon quoted $100 not including tax. How's the service Net10? Is it available in NY?

Net10 uses the four brands of carriers if you bring your Verizon phone to them they will issue a Verizon sim card. It's fine, it's just like post paid domestically for all intents and purposes, minus the reduced speed of 4G.
So I spoke with Verizon and this is the information that they gave me:
6 gig data, 3 total per line and phone are $140 a month for Verizon.
It would be $40 less a month if we used foot phones which my wife would never do LOL but I would
So basically it's $40 for each smart phone and then $60 for six gigs
Verizon is pretty reliable but I've heard pros and cons of using it so I'm curious on what others pay for the same amount of data because I always want to get the best bang for buck and I've heard AT&T does $100 and 10 GB or something like that but don't quote me on that.
Our verizon bill for 2 cell smart phones and jsut 2 gigs is $155.00/month.
So if you get it for $140. you are saving money over us two.
We are switching come next JUne when our 2 year contract is up.
I fully intend to find a way to cut that in half or go elsewhere.

I don't want to pay so high anymore.
Check this out, I think you'll like this. Mixed reviews but I decided to maybe ditch my cell phone and pay $20 a month for a phone. Ditching smart phone, going with flip phone. 1,500 texts a month and 150mb.
My wife can get a smart phone there for $40 - 1.5 gb data $20, 250 minutes of phone $15
You can try for first 30 days free, no obligation.
35 plus 20 is 55 a month
