I had to share (for those in market for a coat)

My intention was not be frugal, just buying a winter jacket online at walmart dot com.

A comparable jacket in other stores were priced as high as $70.

Great quality & workmanhip. Can't believe I paid $28 delivered to my door.

Made in Jordan (first time I saw that - sure beats China)

Walmart Title:

Wrangler Men's Guardian Heavy Weight Faux Sherpa and Quilt Lined Water Repellent Hoodie
$27.82

I buy most of my clothes on eBay. I know my size in a few quality brands, I tag searches for those brands in my size and then I wait. There are always people willing to let something little used go for fractions of retail. I then turn around and sell the item it is replacing on eBay. My net clothing cost over the years has to be close to zero.

Sounds like a great deal. Is it like one of those heavy zippered hooded sweatshirts?

I can get a great high quality (at one time expensive) "new" coat any time I want for 15 dollars at the nearest 2nd hand store...I can't get quality from our walmart, so I never go there.

Walmart does a pretty good job of severely chopping prices on stuff they want to get rid of.....nice find on the coat.

I recently bought a nice set of good quality impact-sockets.......10 sockets that usually sell for about 30-dollars, marked-down to $5.

I have looked through the clearance racks at WM when everything is $1, and there was nothing I wanted to get even for $1. I have cleaning rags at home with more heft to them than some of those clothes. Interesting that their house brand is "FADED Glory".

Sounds like the coat is nice, though.

Wrangler at Walmart can be a great deal. All my jeans are from Walmart Black Friday, $11 a pair.

I also bought them out of a Dickies belt I found there for $14 each and loved. They've held up far better than the belt I bought on sale at Dillards for $30.

It supposed to be denim-driven lifestyle brand and probably would be OK as a name for jeans style work clothes, but at Walmart they were just... depressing.
Labels such as Faded Glory, White Stag and Just My Size are already pulled from shelves.
I think, Faded Glory was also sold at K-Mart.
