This just recently happened (As in today) I'm short funds, SS comes the 24. So, I knew I'd be short for phone payment today.

Sure enough, I got my notice of "Hey! Your account didn't have enough in it!" I actually thought that my CU would have paid it and I'd get hit with an overlimit fee.

Well, they didn't. So I checked with my phone service. "If you're late, we'll charge you $7 for the late fee"..Say what?

Hello bells, the CU wanted $28 for overlimit. Glad I never signed those papers, saving $20 I'm happy..
