I'm working on a project and trying to match names which are common names. A deceased man's wife's name was Juanita. On another document with the same man's first and last name she is shown as Jamie. There is nothing to conclude that the two couple's were one in the same.
Jamie a nickname for Juanita? Thanks.

Someone sent me an obituary and here was the deceased: Janie Juanita Mendoza
The typo on one of the documents was Jamie when the name was actually Janie.
English Jane/Joan/Jean = Spanish Juana. Janie is an English translation of Juanita.
Glad you figured it out! Jamie for Juanita wouldn't make a lot of sense.
Thanks
