Would I be able to fit one or both in for a move? I can borrow one for a move of mine.

If you can bend the mattress in half or twist up the sides you can get it in although some will hang out the back, but you may not want to sleep on it again after that type of bending. The box spring is a big No unless you're willing to take a saw to it. Both together is a no, regardless of how you twist the matress. You may be abe to tie both to the roof rack, but make sure it is really, Really secure.

Yeah was thinking I'd have to tie to the top..oh well, the ropes have to be cheaper than renting a truck.

How long of a move?
5 miles on a sunny Saturday to the next 'burb? Sure, make it work.
300 miles overnight in the rain? Not so much.
