Moving companies typically charge an hourly fee for local moves. It’s not going to be any cheaper to have them load it into a rental truck for a 35-mile trip. If you can’t move the large stuff yourself, the best way to save money is to try to get as many boxes/items over on your own to minimize the time you need to use the service. They usually have a 2 or 3 hour minimum. They are usually cheaper Mon-Thurs than Fri-Sat as well.
