I've heard all three phrases used to refer to what I suspect most Americans and I myself refer to as "electric bills," so just out of curiosity, what do people call this bill in your general area?
I've heard old timers in the South say light bill but I think that electric bill is becoming pretty national these days.
That said, this is an interesting thing to think about.
Light bill, North Carolina. Just heard it the other day, too. Coworker and I were talking about electric cars saving you gas money but then you have to charge it, she said your "light bill" would probably skyrocket.
