I am looking to move to some place beautiful and cheap. Maybe the feel of a university town, but without the expense. does it exist?

Knoxville, TN and Asheville, NC aren't too expensive, and they definitely have great beautiful scenery.

Maybe Corvallis, OR.

You could look into Columbia, MO as well. College town, nice scenery, affordable.

Any major Southern or lower Midwestern college town would do the trick. i.e.: Louisville, Lexington, Cincinnati, Bloomington, Clemson, Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, SC, Knoxville, Tuscaloosa, Auburn, Athens, GA, Oxford, MS, Baton Rouge, Gainesville, FL, Raleigh, Durham, Asheville, Morgantown, WV...

Just a few ideas!
