What's your favorite landmark? (living, floors, castles)

I would say it's:
The Empire State Building. Located in Manhattan, NY.
My choice as well! I remember going to the Observation Deck on the 86th floor my first time to NYC when I was very little. And I still enjoy doing it now.
When I was a kid my family took a trip to NYC one summer and we went to the Empire State Building. I don't really remember the trip, but my mother tells me that it was a rainy day and rather foggy when we were there. From street level we could see perhaps the first 15 floors of the building and naturally I felt compelled to comment. My remark was something like: "That's it? I thought it would be much taller'" I also visited as an adult and personally got to see the whole structure and it is taller! Magnificent!
But when I close my eyes while thinking within the context of this thread I keep envisioning the Golden Gate Bridge and The Alamo. I think I'll go with the bridge on this one.
I always was fascinated with the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado.
These huge sand dunes, viewed from afar, are almost startling. They formed against the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Add the pulsing water from Medano Creek (it seems to be pulsing because of the constantly shifting "underwater" sand dunes) and you have a great spot for hiking--and building sand castles.
To me, it is one of the greatest creations of man...just sends shivers thinking of the labor and effort to accomplish such a huge undertaking..
